AEP Texas employee assists Ozona fire department after aiding resident and pets leave burning structure

AEP Texas Service Mechanic Roman Tambunga was maneuvering the bucket truck out of the Ozona neighborhood when he saw smoke coming out of a home.  His response helped ensure that the resident and his pets safely exited the home before it was engulfed in flames.  He also helped the volunteer fire department fight the blaze.

AEP Texas crews continue to make progress in Hurricane Hanna restoration

AEP Texas crews are making great strides in reducing the number of outages resulting from Hurricane Hanna.  We have brought in additional crews from other parts of Texas and neighboring states.  This was a Category 1 Hurricane that left approximately 200,000 customers without power.  We know any extend outage can be frustrating, especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic. We deeply appreciate your patience and support during the restoration process.  Our efforts will continue until all customers who can take electric service are restored.
