(JANUARY 30, 2023) - AEP Texas is preparing for Winter Storm Mara that is predicted to affect parts of the AEP Texas service territory over the next few days, particularly in west and north Texas. Freezing temperatures and high winds could result in local pockets of outages in these areas.
We're proud of the connections we make in our 97,000 square mile service area in south and west Texas. These connections go beyond our far reaching transmission lines to reach families who lack life's most basic needs - shelter, nutrition, healthcare, education. We don't just work in these communities; we also live in them and we care about them. We demonstrate our commitment to you and our communities by giving back and supporting efforts to improve the quality of life for everyone.
