On November 21, 2019, AEP Texas and Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) successfully closed their proposed transaction to transfer to AEP Texas Oncor's distribution assets located in or around the cities of McAllen and Mission in Hidalgo County, including the Sharyland Plantation community. Certificated rights to serve the geographic area relative to and served by these distribution assets also were transferred from Oncor to AEP Texas as part of the transaction.
As a result, all of Oncor's approximately 3,100 retail distribution customers in this area will now be served by AEP Texas. The process to transition these customers will begin December 3, 2019 and should be completed by the end of December 2019.
||Transaction closes on November 21, 2019. AEP Texas, Oncor, ERCOT and affected retail electric providers prepare for the customer transition.
||Transition begins on December 3rd. Customers will be transitioned in three groups based upon their monthly scheduled meter reading date occurring between December 3rd and December 20th. The bill based on the meter reading during this time frame will be the final electric bill calculated with Oncor's rates.
||All customers should be transitioned by December 20th. Approximately 30 days after the customers' actual transition date, customers will receive their first electric bills calculated with new AEP Texas rates.

After December 20th, 2019, customers should contact AEP Texas' outage number at 866.223.8508.
