The AEP Texas Foundation awarded a $5,000 grant to Community Health Development in Uvalde to support the organization's annual health fair. Jimmy Earnest, External Affairs manager, says the grant will help provide health resources, wellness education and preventative care information to community members.
"The annual health fair serves as an important opportunity for residents to connect with healthcare providers and learn about programs that support their overall well-being," Earnest wrote in an email.
The fair is intended to promote healthier lifestyles and improve access to health services.
