Through an annual company-wide campaign, AEP Texas employees contributed financially, volunteered, and encouraged others to give, driving the campaign’s success. Regional Director of External Affairs Gricelda Calzada said the award recognizes the combined impact of a company’s United Way campaign, which includes employee giving, corporate contributions, matching funds, and volunteerism.

The partnership between AEP Texas and the United Way of the Coastal Bend reflects the company’s commitment to community investment. In addition to the Pillar Award, three employees who played key roles in the campaign received the United Way Employee Campaign Leader Award:

• Daniel Cabera, key account manager
• George Guerra, customer design lead

This special recognition highlights their hard work and commitment throughout the campaign, during which they helped organize and lead workplace campaigns, promoted participation, and encouraged donations. Cabrera said he is most proud to see colleagues unite around meaningful initiatives. AEP Texas remains committed to supporting the United Way in the communities where its employees live and work.
