Aransas Pass High School students got a firsthand look at the people, equipment and technology behind the work of AEP Texas during a recent career day. Local line and service crews showcased bucket and digger trucks, while a UAS Operations Pilot demonstrated how drones support field operations through real-time aerial footage.

The event offered students an opportunity to explore rewarding career paths available right in their own communities—some of which do not require a four-year college degree. By connecting students with employees who work in the field every day, AEP Texas hopes to broaden their understanding of post-graduation opportunities and help them envision a successful future close to home.
