AEP Texas joined the City of Natalia to celebrate the opening of Haywood Park, a new gathering place for community members and families.
Jimmy Earnest, AEP Texas's External Affairs manager, attended the ceremony, joining elected officials, community leaders, and residents to mark the completion of the new park. The new community space features a covered pavilion with picnic tables, a swing set, and a playground for local families to enjoy.
“For a community of about 1,300 residents, this means more than completing a park project. Haywood Park offers a shared space where residents can enjoy their community, and the strong turnout at the ribbon-cutting reflects local pride and support for investments that improve quality of life,” Earnest said.

The event highlighted the city's ongoing investment in projects that bring local families together and create opportunities for community engagement.
He noted that AEP Texas’ participation demonstrates the company’s commitment to building strong relationships and supporting the communities it serves.
