AEP Texas employees joined the 20th Annual Empty Bowls RGV event on Sept. 29 at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg to support the Rio Grande Valley Food Bank and the effort to fight hunger across the region. The annual fundraiser brought together hundreds of community members for an afternoon of food tastings, live music, silent auctions and fellowship, all in support of one of the food bank’s largest fundraising events of the year. Employees also had the chance to connect with fellow attendees, including KRGV Meteorologist Tim Smith, while showing support for a cause that makes a meaningful difference in local communities. AEP Texas Administrative Assistant Melissa Flores said the company was honored to take part in an event that uplifts the region and thanked the food bank, restaurants, volunteers and attendees for helping make the event a success.
