AEP Texas connected with students in the Lower Rio Grande Valley during two recent events focused on college and career readiness. On Sept. 22, the company participated in a College and Career Fair at Lyford High School Memorial Gym, where students met with college representatives and learned more about admissions, campus life and post-secondary opportunities. The following day, on September 23, AEP Texas joined Donna North High School’s Careers on Wheels event during National GEAR UP Week, giving students an up-close look at career paths through an outdoor display featuring company vehicles and employees.

Together, the events highlighted AEP Texas’ ongoing commitment to education, workforce awareness and community engagement. External Affairs Manager Hill Cocke helped organize the outreach, while Customer Service Account Representative Yvonnilda Rodriguez coordinated and attended both events, helping share information and capture photos from the visits.
