Almost 30 Victoria employees volunteered at the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, organizing food, beverages, and other items for local families in need. They sorted bulk items for distribution across 11 counties and measured and weighed rice into smaller bags.

Employees also sorted surplus food items recently donated by AEP Texas as part of its Tropical Storm Bertha response. The donated items will help supply partner kitchens that provide hot meals to individuals and families throughout the community.

“The Food Bank relies on volunteers to sort and package food for distribution to community distribution centers, kitchens, and other nonprofit organizations throughout the Golden Crescent,” Vee Strauss, external affairs manager, said. “Our employees helped meet a significant need for families across the region.”
