On July 25, 10 AEP Texas employees volunteered at the Back to School Bash, distributing school supplies, making cotton candy for children, and helping create a welcoming environment for local families.

Community partners welcomed more than 2,000 attendees to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend, where families enjoyed free food, haircuts, physicals, and other activities.

“Volunteer opportunities such as the Back to School Bash allow AEP Texas employees to make a meaningful difference in the lives of local families and students. By giving their time and talents, employees help ensure children begin the school year with the supplies, support, and encouragement they need to succeed,” said Gricelda Calzada, regional director of external affairs.
