AEP Crews in the Coastal Bend region received a special thanks from the Point Comfort Volunteer Fire Department for their restoration efforts following a windstorm that caused hundreds of outages.
“After the recent windstorm, our community was reminded just how strong we are when we come together,” the fire department wrote in a thank you card. “Your generosity, kindness, and willingness to support our community made a meaningful difference to volunteers and community members.”
The outages began Friday, May 1 around 3 p.m. and crews worked throughout the weekend until all power was restored Sunday, May 3 around 6 p.m.
