The AEP Texas Foundation will serve as title sponsor for Laredo College’s Family Fun Fest and Musicale, renewing a two-year commitment of $50,000 to support the Feb. 28 event and student programming at the historic Fort McIntosh Campus.

Danny Treviño, External Affairs manager, presented the donation on Jan. 15 and noted the Foundation’s focus on education and community engagement: “By helping expand Fun Fest, we create hands-on learning opportunities, strengthen student success and celebrate the vibrant culture and spirit of South Texas. Our AEP Texas employees are excited to be on site to engage with the community and showcase the work we do to serve them.”

Laredo College’s president, Minita Ramírez, Phd., welcomed the continued partnership, calling the sponsorship a meaningful boost for one of the city’s largest family events. The free festival is part of Laredo’s monthlong Washington’s Birthday Celebration Association festivities and highlights the Foundation’s ongoing investment in education and community
