AEP Texas donated $15,000 to Hendrick Home for Children to support the organization’s residential and therapeutic services for children and families facing challenging times. The gift will benefit Hendrick’s annual fundraiser, Dancing with the Abilene Stars, an event that for more than 15 years has engaged 150+ community leaders to raise critical local support.
The check was presented on January 5 by Luke Roberson, AEP Texas External Affairs manager in Abilene, who also competed in last year’s event and won Best Video in the 2025 Dancing with the Abilene Stars. Hendrick’s president/CEO Erin Seabourne, said the donation is vital to day-to-day operations and said the support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families they serve.
These funds will help provide housing, clothing, medical and dental care, education and emotional support, giving children and single parents in the Abilene area a safe, uplifting environment as they work to get back on track. AEP Texas remains committed to partnering with local organizations to support community needs.
