AEP Texas recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the CINCO Project Data Center, a $900 million investment by Rowan Digital Infrastructure in Uvalde's technology sector. The project is expected to create 600 construction jobs and 40 permanent positions upon completion. Designed as a 300-megawatt facility, it positions the area as a potential hub for digital infrastructure and economic growth.
AEP Texas will supply the necessary energy and infrastructure to support this significant initiative. Jimmy Earnest, AEP Texas External Affairs Manager, highlighted the project’s role in enhancing the local economy and the energy future of Texas.
