The Clyde community softball field is shining bright after AEP crews helped replace and repair several of its lights. Transmission Line Mechanic Gator Kimmel, Transmission Line Mechanic Joshua O'Dell, and Transmission Line Crew Supervisor John Neal volunteered their services Wednesday and said they were happy to help the community.

“There’s no better way to volunteer than doing something like this for our community,” said Kimmel. “We’re glad to help where we can.”

Courtney volunteers as a Clyde softball coach and said they are very grateful for AEP’s help with this project.

“We don’t have a lot of money so y’all volunteering to help with this is huge for us,” she said. “Thank you for helping us keep the kids safe while they’re out here playing.”
