AEP Texas joined local leaders, industry representatives and community members at the Atascosa County Data Center Public Forum to talk about the pros and cons in regard to Texas's rapid data center development in the region. Attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions directly with experts in person and online.
"As a member of the expert panel, Dale Folower, Economic and Business Development manager, answered questions regarding electric infrastructure, system reliability, and the utility's role in support large-load customers while continuing to serve existing communities," External Affairs Manager Jimmy Earnest said.
Earnest said the public forum showed the importance of transparency and collaboration. The participation of AEP Texas in these public forums shows the company's need and desire to educate and engage with its stakeholders.
