AEP Texas participated in the Frio County Youth Outdoor Safety Event to help educate local youth and families about electrical safety through hands-on demonstrations and other activities. During the event, AEP Texas featured its Power Town electrical safety demonstration to give attendees an opportunity to learn about potential electrical hazards, safe practices around power lines and electrical equipment. Employees also taught them how to make smarter decisions when and if they come in contact with electrical infrastructure.

"This event brought together numerous organizations committed to promoting outdoor safety and injury prevention through hands-on learning experiences," External Affairs Manager Jimmy Earnest said.

These outreach efforts are part of AEP Texas ongoing commitment to educate communities about electrical safety across South Texas.
