San Angelo employees partnered with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to teach third, fourth, and fifth graders at Sterling ISD what to do if they are riding their bikes and come across a power line on the ground.
“The main takeaway we tried to drive home was if they ever come across a wire on the ground, stay as far away as possible and head home to tell their parents to call 911,” said External Affairs Manager, Fred Guerrero. “From there, local authorities will contact us and we’ll get someone out to address it.”
