AEP Texas recognized its lineworkers on April 18 for National Lineworker Appreciation Day, spotlighting this year’s theme, “What’s Your Why?” The company shared reflections from employees and customers about the purpose that drives crews in the field.

Benjamin Rosales, a service crew leader in Kenedy, said being a lineworker is deeply fulfilling. He told AEP Texas he finds “great joy in knowing that my work contributes to my community’s well-being,” and called the return of service after storms “the true reward.”

The commitment shows up in everyday work and in emergency response, and it is sharing customer feedback about lineworkers as part of the observance to highlight how crews deliver safety, reliability and reassurance.
