The Jim Wells County Fair Association honored the Alice linemen crew as Parade Marshal for the 2025 Jim Wells County Fair, recognizing their exceptional commitment to local youth and ongoing community support. In a letter, the association's Board of Directors commended the linemen for their dedication to service and their vital role as first responders in the region. 

On October 22, the AEP Texas crew proudly marched through the streets of Alice in the company's new innovation van and they were presented with a plaque in recognition of their service during the Opening Ceremony at the Jim Wells County Fair show arena. The crew was also featured in the Alice Echo News Journal. 

The letter concluded with a touching sentiment: "In closing, friends like you are a rare treasure. Thank you for all you have done, and may life bring you a reflection of the kindness you have shown others."
