CHARLESTON, W.Va., Sept. 26, 2010 – Access to the fishing area at Appalachian Power’s Winfield Hydroelectric Project will be closed to the public for two weeks beginning Monday.
The company is replacing handrails on the fishing pier and will close public access to the area to do that work from September 27 until October 9.
Enthusiasts are welcome to use fishing access at the company’s Marmet Hydroelectric Project. The site is located at 200 86th Street in the town of Marmet, W.Va.
Both plants are located on the Kanawha River.
