Rio Grande Valley Thunderstorm

AEP Texas crews have restored power to over 107,000 customers following severe thunderstorms that swept through the Rio Grande Valley on Friday night. Additional resources began arriving today to restore power to the remaining 48,000 who remained without power as of 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Shown below are the most current estimated restoration times for the Valley to restore service to at least 95 percent of those without power.

We appreciate the patience and support our customers have shown throughout this restoration effort. We know that outages can create hardships and inconvenience. Crews are working to restore power as quickly as safely possible. The restoration effort will continue until service is restored to all homes or facilities that are able to take power.
