Alex Ramirez is Vice President of Customer Experience for AEP Texas.

Ramirez guides and implements technology solutions to enhance the company’s customer service and operational efficiencies to put the customer first. His role includes interfacing with state and local stakeholders and working with internal economic and business development teams to promote and implement electrification projects for the company.

Ramirez oversees Project Management, Continuous Improvement, Advanced Meter Infrastructure, and Distributed Energy Resource Technologies; and all customer-facing departments including community and governmental affairs.

Ramirez has 19 years of experience with the company. He has held leadership positions at AEP Texas for Region Support in Corpus Christi, Customer Design in the Rio Grande Valley District, Distribution Operations for the San Angelo District and Regulatory in Austin.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He also completed a post-graduate program in Data Science and Business Analytics at The University of Texas at Austin.
