asked to call or report their outage via AEP Texas website

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (September 17, 2021; 10:30 a.m.) – Customers still without power as a result of Hurricane Nicholas are asked to call AEP Texas at 1 866 223-8508.  Outages also can be reported at www.aeptexas.com.  Taking this step will ensure that all remaining outages have been recorded in the AEP Texas outage system.

AEP Texas crews achieved the 98 percent restoration level on Thursday night. They are now completing final restoration of service to homes, businesses and facilities that can take power.   As of 10 a.m., the remaining outages totaled 120 as compared with 14,900 at the storm’s peak early Tuesday morning.

Manager of Distribution Systems Curtis Proske commended the crews their sustained efforts throughout restoration process.  “This has been a team effort including over 700 line techs, tree trimmers, assessors, support staff and others who focused solely on restoring power as quickly and safely as possible.

“But most of all, I want to thank area customers.” Proske continued.  “Their support and patience meant a lot to our crews as they worked long hours over the past few days.”

This is the last update regarding this outage.  Please refer to the outage section of http://www.AEPTexas.com for any additional information regarding remaining outages.
