AEP Texas External Affairs Hill Cocke presented the Los Fresnos Rodeo Committee with a $25,000 donation from the AEP Foundation on Sept. 15, 2025, at the Los Fresnos Rodeo Grounds. The gift will support the committee's scholarship program for graduating seniors across Cameron County.
The Los Fresnos Rodeo Committee launched its scholarship program in 2004 and has since awarded more than $242,000 to local students. Committee leaders said the donation will help sustain the program as it continues providing $2,000 scholarships to eligible graduating seniors from all Cameron County high schools.
