San Angelo nonprofit Meals for the Elderly received a $500 grant thanks, in part, to Resource Analyst Melissa Morris. Morris was one of 11 employees who were randomly selected to win a $500 AEP Foundation grant for a nonprofit they champion. 

“I was honored and excited to be selected for this grant,” she said. “While the recognition is meaningful, the greatest reward is being able to direct additional financial support to Meals for the Elderly. Knowing that these funds will help the organization continue serving seniors in our community makes the experience especially gratifying.”

Morris said AEP employees and retirees in San Angelo have supported the organization for a long time, noting many have volunteered for over 30 years.
