Fort McKavett has a new flagpole thanks, in part, to AEP Texas Transmission and Distribution crews. The 40-year-old flagpole was in bad condition, and the Director of Fort McKavett contacted AEP’s Menard District for help replacing it.
Crews removed the existing 80 ft. pole and the fort’s maintenance staff installed the proper hardware for the new pole. After the shiny new flagpole was delivered, AEP crews returned to put it in its place.
“We were pleased to offer our support,” said Garrett Chapman, District System Supervisor in Menard. “With the combined efforts of the transmission crew and several members of the Menard District, the new flagpole was successfully set on site.”
