Employees with AEP Texas celebrated Career Day with students at Singleterry Elementary School on Feb. 5. Students from Pre K through 5th grade observed real equipment crews often use on the job.
The young students were able to see hard hats, protective gloves, and climbing gear that are used to keep the workers safe while on the job. From seeing the truck up close to trying on some of the personal protective equipment, students were able to gain real-world insight about being a line worker.
At the end of the event, students received activity bags filled with Louie the Lightning Bug coloring books and coloring supplies.
