The Corpus Christi Downtown Management District and AEP Texas Regional External Affairs Manager Gricelda Calzada announced the winners of the 2025 Mayor’s Merriest Christmas contest, sponsored by the AEP Foundation, on Tuesday, Jan. 13 during the City Council meeting.
The annual event is a way to encourage businesses to decorate their storefronts for a chance to win cash prizes.
“Congratulations to all the winners,” Calzada said. “It's an honor to be able to support our local businesses through a fun, community event that lifts up the spirits of our residents.”

- Best Window Paint Champion — Water Street Oyster Bar - $1,000
- Best Use of Lights Champion — Goldfish Bar - $1,000
- People’s Choice Champion — The Bridge Bar - $1,000
- Holiday Champion — The Bridge Bar - $2,000
