The AEP Texas San Angelo Distribution Service Center welcomed 11 Angelo State University (ASU) civic and mechanical engineering students for a look at life as an AEP Texas engineer. Our engineers shared insights into their roles and the impact of their contributions to the community. An AEP Texas crew conducted a live demonstration of pole and transformer installation.

"With so many types of engineering routes, it's important for students to understand what a career in engineering at AEP Texas looks like, so they can make a more informed decision about their future once they graduate," said Fred Guerrero, AEP Texas External Affairs manager.

With many ASU alumni working at AEP Texas in San Angelo, it was especially meaningful to host this group and inspire the next generation of engineers who may one day join the AEP Texas team.
