AEP Texas President & COO Judith Talavera and Director of Government Affairs Isaac Albarado joined Governor Greg Abbott in Austin on Tuesday, June 10 to discuss hurricane preparedness efforts with other Texas energy providers. The question from Governor Abbott was simple, "Are you prepared?"

Leaders from CenterPoint Energy and Entergy Texas also attended the meeting at the capitol to discuss plans for emergency response, grid resiliency, and customer communication during severe weather events this hurricane season. Talavera shared AEP Texas' resiliency investments, emergency preparedness plans, customer communications improvements, and local emergency response coordination assuring the Governor that AEP Texas remains ready throughout the year and is always looking for ways to improve.
