CHARLESTON, W.Va., October 4, 2004 – Appalachian Power has named several people to key management positions at its headquarters location in Charleston.
Gina Mazzei of Columbus, Ohio, has been named chief counsel for the Appalachian Power organization. Mazzei, a native of Charleston, received her bachelor’s and law degrees from West Virginia University. She is a former president of the Kanawha County Bar Association.
Linda Moore of Columbus, Ohio, has been named business operations support director. Moore joined AEP in 1999 in the corporate development organization. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University.
Wayne Pugh of Columbus, Ohio, has been named customer services and marketing director. Pugh, a native of Roanoke, Va., has been with the company for 35 years, much of it in Charleston. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech.
Appalachian Power provides electricity to 1 million customers in Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee. It is a unit of American Electric Power, the nation’s largest electricity generator. AEP owns more than 36,000 megawatts of generating capacity and is one of the nation’s largest electric utilities, with more than 5 million customers in 11 states.
