AEP Texas, a unit of American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP), will file exceptions strongly objecting to revised recommendations issued by administrative law judges (ALJs) in its Texas Central Company (TCC) rate case. TCC is seeking a $41 million increase in rates to cover the costs associated with meeting the increasing energy delivery demands of south Texas’ growing economy. The revised ALJs´ recommendations call for a $51 million decrease.
AEP Texas, a unit of American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP), today filed strong exceptions to the preliminary recommendations issued by administrative law judges in its Texas Central Company (TCC) rate case. The exceptions urge that the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) reject the judges’ recommendations and approve a rate increase for TCC.

American Electric Power is reorganizing its distribution and customer service operations into seven regional utility divisions, placing operational authority in the hands of division presidents and their support staffs. AEP Texas, led by President and Chief Operating Officer Charles Patton, will include all customers currently served by AEP´s Texas Central and Texas North subsidiaries.
