The region serves distribution consumers of AEP's two electric utility operating companies in ERCOT - AEP Texas Central Company and AEP Texas North Company. AEP Texas provides services supporting customers in the Texas ERCOT subsidiaries. AEP Texas maintains regulatory and external affairs offices in Austin.
